Introducing our team:

Ian Griffiths - Managing Director

Managing director Ian has over 30 years’ experience within the scaffolding industry and has worked his way to the top in a variety of roles before setting up his own company. Ian understands the complex nature of scaffolding and the importance of cohersion within a team provide a safe, efficient and economical project. He prides himself on his technical ability and is highly qualified, holding CISRS parts 1 & 2, CISRS part 3 advanced scaffold card, NVQ Level 6 in Construction Site Management and his IOSH Managing Safely certificate. Dedicated to his trade, Ian recognises how vital health and safety, training and a professional service are to the growth of the company and therefore he has surrounded himself with a highly skilled and experienced team.

Andy Hogben - Operations Manager

Operations manager Andy has over 20 years’ experience in operation and project management. Having had a varied career in a wide range of industries, including construction Andy’s strengths include his organisational and communication skills. He also has extensive experience in health and safety and IT, both of which are extremely valuable to our business and his knowledge is proving useful in developing our policies and procedures. Andy is currently responsible for all our operational requirements, including organising staff, vehicle management, supervising procurement and most importantly supporting the team in the general day to day running of the business.

Spencer Nichol – Health & Safety/Training Manager

Spencer has over 20 years’ experience in the construction industry, having working for a number of prominent contractors based in the South East. As one of our most qualified members of staff in his field, Spencer has already attained IOSH Managing Safely and CITB qualifications in first aid, preparation of risk and method statements and manual handling to name but a few. As part of his ongoing professional development, he is currently working towards his NVQ Level 3 in Management, acquiring new skills which we hope will further strengthen our company practices. Spencer is constantly reviewing the training requirements of our staff and ensures that we achieve the highest health and safety standards.

Scaffold Supervisors

Our scaffold supervisors work under the guidance of our management team. . They are all highly experienced and possess their CISRS part 3 advanced scaffolder cards. Whilst employed by P&G Scaffolding they have all undertaken the Construction Site Supervisor’s Safety Certificate and are extremely competent in leading their respective teams.

Nicola Smith & Danial Phillips - Management Accountants

Both Nicola and Danial trained at Reeves & Co Chartered Accountants (formerly Reeves & Neylan) one of the largest chartered accountancy practices in the south east. Nicola spent over 15 years working in chartered accountancy practices, leaving to work in management accountancy within the construction industry in 2007. A fellow of the Association of Accounting Technicians, Nicola has an NVQ Level 4 in Accountancy. In addition to her management accountancy role, Nicola is also our credit controller and manages our junior accounts and administrative staff. Danial is also a fellow of the Association of Accounting Technicians and holds the NVQ Level 4 in Accountancy. He has over 15 years accounting experience, having worked a broad range of roles within chartered accountancy practices, an accountancy software support company and his own accounts and computer consultancy business. In addition to his management accountancy role, Danial also manages our computer network and has implemented a variety of new procedures to streamline our computerised accounting system.
